- ➤ On Aug. 12, the groundbreaking for the new Chabad Jewish Community Center took place in Sioux Falls—bringing together community members, religious leaders and public officials—and marked the start of construction at 1221 W. 85th St. The center will include a synagogue, educational and community spaces, a kosher kitchen and South Dakota's first mikvah to serve local Jewish residents.
