Great Plains Zoo is planning improvements to its giraffe habitat that will create more space for the animals and improve viewing near the splash pad. The project (to be partly funded through the upcoming 2027 Capital Improvement Program) is designed to support zoo accreditation standards.

Studio B Dance Complex, a new 5,600 sqft training facility at the Western Mall, will open for summer session dancers at the end of June. Brooklin Nothdurft founded the studio to offer recreational and competitive classes for all ages (starting at age three).
