  • McDonald's opened last week in Harrisburg as franchisee Leonard Management's ninth location. The restaurant at 148 N.   • A new ranking by StorageCafe shows Sioux Falls is the second most affordable destination for digital nomads, with average monthly living costs of $2,362 and competitive prices for rent, transportation, groceries and utilities.  KXRB

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Sioux Falls has opened applications for its 2026 Ascend Internship Program that offers 12 paid internships (starting at $18.48 per hour) in areas like public safety, engineering, and parks management for students aged 18 or older with opportunities scheduled May through August.  City of Sioux Falls

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Residents must clear sidewalks—including paths near fire hydrants—within 48 hours of snowfall to keep public walkways safe and avoid a $100 fine and a removal charge. The city stresses that timely shoveling prevents hazards for all pedestrians.  KXRB
