  • The Great Plains Zoo in Sioux Falls is hosting its Santa at the Zoo event on Saturday, Dec. 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Families can meet Santa and enjoy crafts (with a chance to spot the Grinch) as they wander the zoo's winter pathways.  KXRB

  • A free screening of Wicked: For Good will be held on Dec. 11 at 6:00 p.m. at Cinemark Century 14 in Sioux Falls. Registration is required and seating is first-come, first-served.  KXRB
  • A survey by Innerbody finds South Dakota among the top three states for holiday spirit as West Virginia and Utah rank higher; the study measured searches, seasonal shopping patterns, and festive participation to show how residents embrace local traditions today.  KXRB
  • State officials teamed with Washington Pavilion’s art consultants to bring local photography and original artwork to the new One Stop office (nearly 300,000 sqft) in east Sioux Falls on Dec. 3, 2025, transforming blank walls and children’s areas into welcoming spaces that showcase South Dakota talent.  SiouxFalls.Business

  • The FDA has issued a recall for shredded cheese sold at Walmart, Target, Aldi, and other retailers in 31 states (including Minnesota) due to metal fragments that can cause injury. Sioux Falls shoppers should check their purchases and return any affected products.  KXRB
