  • Conductor Toni Colton of Ellis & Eastern keeps rail traffic moving by organizing heavy railcars for timely local deliveries and guiding engineers with clear signals—she overcame challenges as a female in a male dominated field and now enjoys a balanced schedule that allows family time even on harsh winter days.   • Frontier Bank remodeled its branch on 57th St. to offer an open layout with new modular walls and glass fronts — changes that support flexible work areas and new interactive teller machines. The bank will hold a ribbon cutting tomorrow at 4:30 p.m. to celebrate the update.  SiouxFalls.Business

CULTURE NEWS

  • Dell Rapids’ Dells Theatre had its film projector break over the weekend and staff drove to Omaha to find a replacement—yet the theater still needs to raise about $30,000 through a GoFundMe campaign to buy a modern $40,000 projector. The fundraiser aims to help keep the cinema’s big-screen experience alive in the community.  KXRB
  • Courtney Hart, founder of Hart Studio Arts after graduating from USD, will display her ceramic and mixed media pieces inspired by nature and family at the 605 Made Holiday Market.   • The Cathedral of St. Joseph is hosting Christmas at the Cathedral from December 18 through December 21, where live music and storytelling will celebrate the season and support local charities — proceeds benefit the Bishop Dudley Hospitality House and help maintain the historic venue.   • A 40-year-old home in south Sioux Falls sold for $940,000, topping the list of the ten most expensive home sales for the week of Nov. 10.
