- ➤ World War II and Korean War veteran Doug Starr celebrated his 100th birthday on Saturday and said his simple secret is just breathing since the 1960s—he has enjoyed parties nearly every other day of his life. The Sioux Falls American Legion will host a Family Social on Tuesday at 5 p.m. at the South Dakota Military Heritage Alliance where people are asked to bring a birthday card for him. KELOLAND
- ➤ Homeowners at a residence near 33rd Street and Western Avenue turned their front yard, famous for its 12-foot skeleton called Skelly Bob (inspired by online trends), into a community food pantry by adding plastic totes for neighborly donations.
