  • Rusty's Food Store in Howard launched a meal donation program on Monday that supplies $10 grocery bags to local families, with donations already filling 200 boxes. Dawson’s Corner Pantry, Rivers Edge Bank, a daycare, and school officials say the program helps ease holiday expenses for those in need — the store welcomes further donations.  KELOLAND
  • Sioux Falls families and seniors can access food aid at multiple locations including mobile pantries and fixed food programs—visit the 211 Helpline for details on sites and hours.  KXRB
  • Feeding South Dakota and 25 community partners will distribute 6,000 Thanksgiving meals at 27 sites for families across the state, with each meal providing turkey, stuffing, potatoes, and pie — a plan to help those facing tough times.   • Sioux Falls businesses are gearing up for the Olympic Curling Trials, which will run from November 11th to 16th at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center — local bars and hotels like Blue Rock Bar & Grill and Comfort Inn & Suites will update menus and book rooms for officials and visitors.   • South Dakota will showcase its heritage with a float named “Carved in Stone; A Legacy of Teamwork” at the 2026 Rose Parade in Pasadena, featuring Mount Rushmore and 40,000 floral elements like corn, wheat, and sunflowers. The float, built by Artistic Entertainment Services, will offer interactive experiences during Decorator’s Week + celebrate America’s 250th birthday.  KXRB
