- ➤ Today, local residents have many events to enjoy, with a Trunk or Treat at Sioux Falls Specialty Hospital from 1 to 3 p.m., a Swedish Meatball Dinner at Batic Elementary School from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., a free microchip clinic at Schulte Subaru from 1 to 3 p.m., and art sessions at AMC Collective from 1 to 4 p.m. and a painting class at Black Cat Art Studio at 2 p.m.—other offerings include the Fall Market in Watertown, a Chrysanthemum Show at Homestead Orchard from 1 to 5 p.m., seasonal pumpkin picking and corn mazes, a musical at Washington Pavilion at 2 p.m., films at the State Theater, a tennis tournament at Huether Family Match Pointe, a Stampede hockey game at 4:05 p.m., and pro football action on KELOLAND TV starting at 11 a.m. KELOLAND
- ➤ On Oct. 18, a No Kings rally began at the federal courthouse downtown and the crowd quickly stretched to 11th Street in under an hour—showing a fast-growing turnout. Argus Leader
- ➤ Traffic in downtown Sioux Falls returned to normal last night after police responded to a suspicious vehicle near 12th and Phillips — later today heavy law enforcement will be present for the No Kings rally. Hunters have arrived for the traditional pheasant season opener, and vendors set up booths at the airport terminal Friday while light rain and snow showers were reported in the Black Hills as the KELOLAND Living Arts and Crafts Show wraps up today.
