- ➤ Parents in Sioux Falls hope the Bishop O’Gorman Catholic School System will reconsider closing Christ the King School at the end of the 2025 to 2026 school year because of low enrollment and financial issues. Parents said the school has been a comforting second home for their children — officials stated the system can support current and future preschool and elementary students at its remaining schools. - ➤ Lawmakers in Pierre will meet Tuesday to consider a $650 million bill for a new men’s prison in Sioux Falls. The bill needs two-thirds support in the 35-member Senate and 70-member House, with several legislators expressing concerns about overcrowding and the need for better rehabilitation programs.
