- ➤ 605 Running Company held Giveback Days this weekend where 10% of sales were donated to local nonprofits—Sunday sales went to the Alzheimer’s Association and Saturday funds supported ALS programs. - ➤ On Saturday afternoon near 276th Street — 483rd Avenue in Lincoln County, a Sioux Falls man was arrested just before 5 p.m. after crashing his car into a tree while driving under the influence without a license or insurance. KELOLAND
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ On Sunday morning, Beadle County Emergency Management reported flooding at Lake Byron that threatened homes and prompted volunteers and fire departments from Huron, Cavour, and Wolsey to conduct a sand bagging operation—reducing potential damage. KELOLAND
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Yesterday, the Highway Patrol began using a new tracking tool to make pursuits safer while the Attorney General's office asked the public for help finding a missing teenager. On the east side, residents met on Saturday for an end-of-summer cleanup and can enjoy more outdoor time today—sunny skies are expected. KELOLAND
- ➤ Today, Sioux Falls begins new street projects as crews close South Gordon Drive between East Arrowhead Parkway and East 15th Street to pour curb and gutter, with work finishing by the end of the week. Northbound lanes on Veterans Parkway and an eastbound lane on West 14th Street will close for sanitary sewer and curb repairs—scheduled to finish in three weeks and by the end of September respectively.
