  • A study from University of Technology Sydney Online found that South Dakota ranks eighth in school systems with only 3.1% uncertified teachers — while Minnesota ranks ninth with 15.5% uncertified — and both states show low dropout rates and good test scores.  KXRB

  • FDA officials warned shoppers not to eat, sell, or serve specific Great Value shrimp at Walmart after tests showed possible Cesium-137 — a radioactive substance — in shipments from an Indonesian supplier. The agency said that while no contaminated shrimp have reached U.S. shelves, consumers should throw out products with lot codes 8005540-1, 8005538-1, and 8005539-1 as a safety measure.  KXRB
