- ➤ A group of Navy sailors is building homes for veterans at the Veterans Community Project in Sioux Falls despite rain and has shifted to doing interior work—such as hanging doors and mounting TVs—to help homeless veterans rebuild their lives. - ➤ Sioux Falls Area Humane Society announced it cares for over 300 cats — including 71 ready for adoption and 50 awaiting foster care — and is encouraging residents to help find homes for these pets. KXRB

The calendar outlines holiday breaks, quarter and semester ends, high school tests, parent-teacher conferences, and graduation ceremonies on May 17 at Sioux Falls Arena — with make-up days planned for weather-related closures.
