- ➤ On July 28, 2025, the 41st and Ellis corner—once an empty field anchored by Fareway—saw all its original land sold as new businesses like Taco Bell and Valvoline began construction, with Taco Bell expected to open this fall and Valvoline planning for a November start if weather permits. Local real estate leaders said Fareway’s success spurred a 20-acre commercial development that has attracted retailers such as McDonald’s and Starbucks and led to plans for additional build-to-suit projects.
