- ➤ The Outdoor Campus in Sioux Falls is hosting a free gear giveaway event—designed to help get locals fishing and hunting—on Saturday, August 9 from 10:00 to noon. - ➤ Crews at Sanford Health lifted a 13,000-pound MRI machine into the new orthopedics building on Thursday morning, letting doctors use real-time scans during surgery. The 150,000-square-foot facility will have 12 operating rooms and will serve patients next January next to the Sanford Children’s Hospital. KELOLAND
- ➤ South Dakota reported a death from West Nile virus after three people fell ill in Brookings, Marshall, and Spink counties and a blood donor tested positive in Brown County.
