- ➤ Bowen Fladland, 36, was indicted on first-degree murder for killing his mother, Marlene Fladland, 70, on July 5—her body was found in the front yard of her Clark residence—and he will face a hearing on July 21 at 1:30 p.m. while he is held on a $500,000 cash bond. KELOLAND

- ➤ Today, Rock the Country begins with Kid Rock and Nickelback headlining a two-day festival on the north side of the fairgrounds—where parking passes cost $40 online and cash is only accepted for parking while tickets, ranging from $99.99 on Friday to $109.99 on Saturday, are delivered electronically.
