- ➤ A 23-year-old man drowned at Hippie Hole in the Black Hills Saturday between 10:30 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.—he became entangled in underwater debris while alcohol was reportedly involved and authorities continue to investigate. KELOLAND
- ➤ A boat exploded on Sheridan lake Sunday afternoon—Hill City Volunteer Fire Department and Pennington County deputies swam to the burning boat, tied a rope, and towed it to the dock where firefighters put out the flames. KELOLAND

- ➤ In 2020, Allison Parliament started a trend when she left a rubber duck on a Jeep after an incident at a gas station—Jeep owners statewide now add ducks to their vehicles in her honor. Her passing in June has not stopped her legacy from spreading kindness across South Dakota. KXRB
