  • Bishop Dudley House in Sioux Falls needs more volunteers as the demand for help grows.   • Turner County officers stopped a pickup with an active fire burning on its tailgate while it drove on the highway and posted photos to warn drivers — officials said that a lack of a clear law does not make this risky behavior safe — urging motorists not to try it.  KELOLAND

  • State government boards and commissions have posted a schedule of public meetings for the week starting today; while no meeting is held today, Tuesday includes the Project Prison Reset Task Force meeting at 9 a.m. in Sioux Falls along with other sessions set by teleconference and in Pierre, Rapid City, and Yankton — meeting details may change due to weather.  KELOLAND
