Good morning, Sioux Falls.

DTSF invites locals to celebrate America's 250th anniversary with a community event; details about the time and venue will be shared soon.

A Sioux Falls restaurant known for its street tacos has expanded its menu to include barbecue dishes.

Located just south of the Western Mall, Vinyl Taco now operates as Vinyl Taco and BBQ, with pork ribs, pulled chicken and sides — a twist blending barbecue with Mexican fare.

New data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics show that workers in our state averaged 32.6 hours a week in April, ranking near the nation’s shortest workweeks; the study indicates that professional services lead to lighter schedules compared to resource industries.

Sioux Falls is testing a monthlong traffic-calming pilot on 10th Street with large planters and reflective barriers in parking spaces to see if drivers slow naturally; food trucks and picnic tables will add community charm.

City officials will monitor traffic through Aug. 7 (results may lead to long-term improvements).
