- ➤ On Sunday, June 22nd, residents in Sioux Falls enjoyed a busy day of summer events with city pools open from 1 to 5 p.m. and 6:30 to 8 p.m., Wild Water West offering water slides, and splash pads open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. The day also featured live concerts, theatre performances including Dolly Parton’s 9 to 5 and The Addams Family, a circus at The Empire Mall, a model railroad open house, a baseball game at Sioux Falls Stadium with a 4:05 p.m. first pitch, and several movie screenings at local venues. - ➤ Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation is seeking local input for a new park on four acres east of North Dubuque—designed to serve a growing neighborhood. The survey asks for favorite amenities and preferred usage times, and construction will begin in 2027—pending city council approval. KELOLAND

- ➤ Two firefighters were treated and released for heat-related injuries after battling a house fire in southeast Sioux Falls last night, and first responders in Davison County recovered the body of a Sioux Falls man believed to have drowned in the James River. Saturday's hot weather affected the downtown Juneteenth festival and cooler, bumpy rides are forecast after today—officials advised caution as the region adjusts. KELOLAND
