- ➤ An 18-year-old man from Wounded Knee is charged with assault and intent to commit murder after allegedly stabbing a 71-year-old visitor from Texas at the Wounded Knee Memorial Cemetery when he requested more money during panhandling, and he pleaded not guilty on June 18—his hearing for a possible 20-year sentence is set for June 27.
