- ➤ Union County authorities are asking for help finding 95-year-old Gordon Tornberg, who was reported missing early Thursday morning after leaving his rural home in a red 2011 Chrysler Town and Country van (SD license: 62P-C89). CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Rapid City Police arrested 36-year-old Zachary Mauss on Wednesday afternoon after he crashed a delivery truck into a building on Knollwood Drive; his breath test registered .382% blood alcohol content, nearly five times the legal limit. KELOLAND
- ➤ Sioux Falls Police said during a dispute in an alley south of Second Street and Dakota Avenue on June 4, a 39-year-old man was shot in the leg and taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries while a male suspect fled with the weapon and a woman was apprehended – though not charged. - ➤ A 20-year-old Pennsylvania man, Victor Rios, was sentenced last Thursday to 18 years in prison for attempted murder and assault after he shot a man in rural Lincoln County during a failed marijuana pickup + the incident occurred following a deal in May last year. KELOLAND

- ➤ Sioux Falls residents and visitors can ride Sioux Area Metro fixed-route buses and paratransit for free every Friday through August 30 as part of the Summer Fridays promotion starting today — riders do not need a pass or fare and SAM On Demand is not included. KELOLAND

- ➤ A Sioux Falls man, Lance Rensch, discovered a historic masquerade invitation while remodeling an 1880s home near 26th Street and Duluth Avenue—he found the card calling for a ball on February 13th, 1888, and he will sell the renovated property next month to start a new chapter in its history. - ➤ In May, Sioux Falls had fewer closed home sales with 283 houses sold—an 11.3% drop from last May—while new listings increased 7% to 505 houses. The median sale price fell to $330,000 and homes sold in an average of 88 days, one week longer than last May. SiouxFalls.Business
