- ➤ The renovated McKennan Park wading pool and bathhouse open today with a zero-depth entry, slide+spray features, improved safety and family amenities. The $4.4 million upgrade, partly funded by local donors, includes restrooms, an indoor gathering space and expanded concessions. KXRB
- ➤ Downtown will host its Open Streets event on Friday, June 5 from 5–8 p.m. on Main Avenue (between 11th and 13th Streets) featuring an 18-hole mini golf course, food trucks and live music for all ages. KXRB

- ➤ The Prairie Family Business Association is hosting its NextGen Retreat (biennial) on Sept. 30-Oct. 1 to help family business leaders build leadership, communication, and trust skills. - ➤ Sioux Falls has kicked off its annual mosquito control program, which targets West Nile virus risks with monitoring in 20 spray zones and safe, EPA-approved treatments from spring through October. - ➤ Sioux Falls teens aged 14 to 19 can register for free summer workouts at Planet Fitness on West 41st and East 10th Street from June 1 through Aug. 31, as the gym aims to help them build healthy habits (parents can also get a one-day pass to explore the facility). KXRB
