- ➤ On May 3, officers from Sioux Falls and other agencies issued over 180 citations and arrested more than 20 people during a patrol to stop street racing — police said they will hold five patrols from now until August. KXRB

- ➤ Nan Kelly and Elizabeth Duffy were elected to the Sioux Falls School District Board of Education on May 13 with vote totals of 1,424 and 1,557 from 2,738 ballots cast at a 2% turnout. They will begin their three-year terms on July 14—while the district canvasses results on May 27 and candidates file financial interest statements by May 28 with campaign finance reports due by June 24. - ➤ Today, motorists on Veterans Parkway face lane closures between Arrowhead Parkway and 26th Street for concrete repairs—curb, gutter, and joint resealing will occur with at least one lane open in each direction. Drivers on South Louise Avenue near 69th Street will see an outside southbound lane closed for Xcel Energy utility work starting May 16, with the lane expected to reopen by Friday evening. KXRB
