- ➤ Today, a new golf shop named Nevr Looz opens on Phillips Avenue in downtown Sioux Falls. Founders Robert Weinmeier and Cindy Gloe-Weinmeier moved the business from Florida last year to open a showroom that sells unique golf bags and handcrafted club head covers — the store will be open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday through Sunday and is seeking part-time help. - ➤ Jordan Benedict Adams, 35, was indicted on charges of second-degree murder, first-degree manslaughter, and aggravated assault for fatally stabbing 45-year-old Chitprasong Amphavannasouk at a Sioux Falls apartment complex on April 4—officers responded around 4:30 a.m. when they found Adams with blood on him and he now faces a $1 million bond. - ➤ On April 11, local law enforcement—including the Sioux Falls Police, SD Highway Patrol, Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office, Lincoln County Sheriff's Office and Minnehaha County Reserve Officers—held a saturation patrol that issued 192 citations, 75 warnings and 11 arrests (including 2 drug and 4 DWI arrests) with plans for additional patrols later in 2025.
