- ➤ Jaine Andrews from Keloland recounted in Flashback Friday how Sioux Falls police in 1984 used motorcycles to patrol neighborhoods—four officers rode through hotter conditions with little gear space to better engage citizens. KELOLAND
- ➤ Two lawmakers on the prison task force said during two days of meetings in Sioux Falls that the current facility lacked enough space for inmate education and rehabilitation after a tour and detailed presentation. The task force—created by Gov. Larry Rhoden after rejecting an $825 million plan—will work with a new consultant and meet April 29 in Springfield to develop a long-term system as over $600 million has been set aside for the project.
