  • Sioux Falls photographer Bill Pay, whose work captured over 70 years of local history, died Tuesday at age 99. His iconic photos are on display at Heritage Museums and local businesses + preserving a treasured visual record for the community.  SiouxFalls.Business
  • Sioux Falls Convention Center hosts the Ties and Tiaras Father-Daughter Dance on March 21 with a red-carpet arrival (12:30 PM) and dancing until 2:30 PM; families will enjoy princess meet-and-greets, a bubble party, craft activity, and fun photo ops at this magical event.  KXRB

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • A recent PIT count shows 605 individuals experiencing homelessness in Sioux Falls (a 3% drop from 2025) as local groups helped gather accurate numbers amid the city’s steady growth.  KXRB
  • Starting Monday, March 16, one lane of southbound I-229 will be closed at mile marker 0 near the I-29 northbound ramp for six months as part of a local interchange project. Business access at 85th Street (Sundowner Avenue and Tall Grass Avenue) will be maintained while the $54 million project continues.  KXRB
  • At 8:30 a.m. today, Telcom Construction will shift the eastbound lane of East 26th Street toward the center from South Pendar to South Fifth while two-way traffic is maintained until work ends. Drivers are advised to use caution and consider alternate routes.  City of Sioux Falls
