- ➤ South Dakota’s minimum wage increased from $11.50 to $11.85 an hour on Jan. 1 in line with a law linking pay to inflation & cost-of-living, while Minnesota now pays $11.41 & Nebraska pays $15, with Iowa and Wisconsin still at $7.25. Argus Leader

- ➤ Sanford Orthopedic Hospital will open on Monday, Jan. 12 at Sanford Health's main campus to offer 12 orthopedic operating rooms and the state's first iMRI (for precise surgeries).
