Veterans Boogie Woogie Bugle Ball

About this event

Join us for the Veterans Big Band Dance, Friday, November 13 at the El Riad Shrine in downtown Sioux Falls. We will be dancing to live music from the El Riad Big Band, a 17-piece group with the big band sound for a great dance experience. The El Riad’s spacious hardwood-floored ballroom adds to the ambience. We will recognize veterans in attendance for their military service. The evening begins at 6:45 with a beginner dance lesson, free with admission to the dance, taught by an experienced instructor. The dance begins at 7:30. The band will play music suited to swing, ballroom, two step, and Latin dancing styles. There will be opportunities for instruction in other partnered dances throughout the evening along with popular line dances such as the Electric Slide. Come wearing your favorite dressy, casual, or vintage attire. There is ample free parking on the street and in the large lot on the east side of the El Riad.
